This is Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed,
As he progressed into college, his academic interests broadened beyond literature and history. He became increasingly fascinated by Psychology and Political Science, drawn to the study of human behavior, society, and the forces that influence nations and communities. These disciplines expanded his perspective and enriched his understanding of the world, complementing his enduring passion for literature and history.
Studying at this historic institution, with its rich legacy of more than a century, opened a world of opportunities for me to explore both Urdu and English literature. The intellectually stimulating environment inspired me to participate actively in extracurricular and literary pursuits. I became deeply involved with the Habibian Speakers Forum and the Social Welfare Society, where I played an enthusiastic and active role in debates, literary discussions, and community service activities. My academic pursuits, combined with my literary and social involvement, naturally led me toward the field of journalism.
In recognition of my interest and dedication, I was appointed as an honorary reporter for The Education Times, a monthly magazine published in Lahore. This experience enabled me to develop my writing, reporting, and communication skills while providing a valuable platform to engage with educational and social issues. My journey in journalism provided me with the opportunity to conduct numerous social survey reports and interview many renowned poets and writers. These experiences enriched my understanding of society, literature, and culture, while strengthening my passion for writing.
A significant milestone came in 1998 with the publication of my first collection of poetry in both English and Urdu under the pen name Mushtaq Ahmed Mushtaq. The book received an encouraging response from readers and literary circles alike. Motivated by this appreciation, I published my second book of Urdu poetry in 1999, further establishing my presence in the literary community.
In 2000, I had the honor of making my first international journey after receiving an invitation from friends in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The visit exposed me to new social, cultural, and developmental perspectives, leaving a lasting impression on me. Inspired by these experiences, I wrote my third book, a travelogue documenting my memorable journey through Dubai, which was published later that same year.
The warm reception of my first three books encouraged me to continue exploring the world through both travel and writing. I was fortunate to travel to the United Kingdom, making several journeys from East Sussex to Scotland. During these visits, I experienced the country's rich history, diverse geography, cultural heritage, and modern way of life. I was particularly impressed by the harmony within British society and the unique coexistence of ancient traditions and contemporary civilization.
These experiences inspired me to write another travel book based on my journeys across the United Kingdom. The book has been included in libraries in Brighton, London, Bradford, Manchester, and Scotland, as well as in Pakistan and India. It is also part of the collection at the British High Commission library in Islamabad, reflecting its recognition among readers interested in travel and cultural literature.
In 2009, my fifth book, a social novel, was published. The novel received further recognition when a UK-based Urdu newspaper serialized it, publishing it in episodes for its readers.
My literary journey continues with two forthcoming publications: my sixth book, which chronicles my travel adventures across the United States of America, and my seventh book, which explores my experiences traveling throughout Europe. Together, these works reflect my enduring passion for literature, travel, and the discovery of different cultures around the world.
